Toivonen Reunited with Unipart 6R4

There’s nothing better than the sound of a Metro 6R4 flat out through a stage…at least in this writer’s opinion! So when we came across this clip of Harri Toivonen from this year’s Bosch Super Stage at the Eifel Rallye Festival, where he was reunited with the Unipart Metro 6R4 that he drove on the 1986 RAC Rally, we couldn’t resist sharing it…

Rally Car Rebuild Time Lapse Video

Jon Kramer from Ligonier, PA with co-driver Adam Kimmet from Leesburg, VA completed an amazing rebuild of their Open Light Class 1993 Subaru Impreza in a single week. The team recorded their rebuild processes in a timelapse video sequence displaying their level of dedication.

The rebuild apparently went pretty well as the team finished in first place in the Drift Regional Rally and third in the Sno Regional Rally.

Ogier’s Monte Carlo Shakedown Whoopsie!

Sebastien Ogier got it a little bit wrong during shakedown for the Monte Carlo Rally, round one of the 2013 FIA World Rally Championship. Braking a little bit late for this left-hander, he tried to throw his VW Polo R WRC sideways to get around the corner…but to no avail. The crew slid helplessly into the snowbank, but luckily bounced back on to the road with little damage. Phew!
